Can Bo Pelini keep his job?

07:34 AM ET 11.18 | Even as sunsets are coming earlier, these are long days for Bo Pelini and the Cornhuskers. What a wonderful time of year for Nebraska football. Yeah, just freaking wonderful. The head coach is under fire. Fans are choosing sides. Leaves are falling. Two regular-season games to go. Can the head coach save his job? It's a valid question. Nebraska is 7-3 overall and 4-2 in the Big Ten. Prevailing wisdom says nine regular-season wins would make it difficult for NU athletic director Shawn Eichorst (and Chancellor Harvey Perlman) to fire Pelini. Eight wins may put Bo on the bubble. But who really knows? ... Eichorst remains mum regarding Pelini, 56-23 in five-plus seasons at Nebraska. The first-year Husker athletic director is right to take that tack with the season in progress.

Beat Penn State and Iowa, go 9-3 once again, and Bo is good for one more year. He did burn some bridges with the COC fan base, though.

Agree. I know some Big Red fans that have a case of the Big Red Azszzs when his name comes up. They want someone with better manners AND better results.

As much as I hate to admit it I think you are right. I think Iowa will beat them at home and Bo will get canned. That's my prediction.

BTW, I was impressed with the freshman defensive talent that he has there. Those guys are gonna be a beotch in next couple yrs.

Results wont change that much but Bo's demeanor seems like it will be his downfall..

I think Nebraska and Texas should play every year in the "Remembrance Bowl" against each other. Or perhaps call it the Entitlement Bowl."

If Bo Pelini is the face of Nebraska football then that is one ugly face to have representing your program. Bo Pelini is a classless foul mouthed lout unfit for leadership.

Look up the word "lugubrious". There is a picture of Bo Pelini there.

Nebraska is a tough place to recruit top shelf talent. From what I saw on Saturday's game, Pellini has done a very good job with recruiting. Lots of talent on both sides of the ball. I think the Nebraska Admin and AD will regret it if they sack Pellini after this year.

So he's in his sixth season and his defense is young. How did that happen lack of recruiting or inability too recruit? Bo's sideline antics are just old and need to stop. If he is like this on game day I'm sure he's like it all week. I know if I played for him and he was in my face like that all the time his ole snoot would be twice as big as it is. It's just time he take his show on the road.

every time we lose a game, same thread...Bo didn't create 5 turnovers

That was good. How about making it a foursome with Notre Dame and Miami. More feathers ruffled.

Why are you a Tennessee fan if you went to Cinci?
