Fire sale for Flames?

07:38 AM ET 11.18 | Yes, even after six straight losses, it can probably get worse for Calgary. [The Flames] have all kinds of time to go through a slew of highs and lows. The way things are trending right now, though, it would appear more lows than highs will be in the future. ... [Flames GM Jay Feaster], along with his boss, Brian Burke, work hard to keep tabs on who is available on the trade market. The way things are going, the Flames will be soon enough be making some moves, most likely trading away players with the likes of Michael Cammalleri, Lee Stempniak, Matt Stajan and Chris Butler likely candidates. It's a fine line making such trades, with them obviously a sign a club is throwing in the towel. But it would fun to know what wheels are in motion.

To all Calgary fans:

You have my sincere sympathies. If blowing up your team means moving Cammalleri, Stempniak and Stajan, things are grim indeed.

With Feaster and Burke working together, you just know that something special is going to happen.

Can NHL teams make trades to the KHL, with rubles in return?

"Fire sale for Flames?"

When you lose to the dreadful Oilers? Yep!

BTW, the Oilers have a couple more D-men you can have for prospects and picks.

More like a Buffett. Teams get to walk down the line and pick the players they want, just as long as they throw them some old bones and maybe a draft pick here and there.

With the Calgary Flames loosing to the Oilers and the Calgary Stampeders losing to Sasketchewan, HC must be high up on some ledge this morning.

It's OK, HC! Really! It's not that bad! Burkey and Feaster will make you some nice trades soon.

I think Harry's moved up to a higher floor. He was on a first floor ledge. Not too impressive. On the other hand Burkie has offered Rob Ford the position of Director of Player Development and Harry is now on the 103rd floor.

Ken King was interviewed on Saturday on Team 1260 radio. This man of great vision went on at length to describe how well things are working with Beerian and Jumbo at present. Anyone on the road beside me would have thought i was very boisterously singing a Motorhead song , or perhaps yelling at a deaf person using a bluetooth. When a complete idiot hires another idiot the result is not hard to anticipate....!$#@!!&^55@@1

Haven't seen that yet and can't wait to. Just watched Shaun of the Dead the other day. Too much fun.

Just a quick question - does every major city in Canada have a paper named the Sun?
