Darkhorse frontrunner for Ryan Miller

07:40 AM ET 11.18 | It's hard to be terribly critical of St. Louis' record, which as of Monday morning stood at 13-3-3, but the team recorded two of those losses, including Sunday's to Washington in which Jaroslav Halak allowed three goals on six shots, and a shootout loss in its past eight games. This rumour won't die: The St. Louis Blues, with not a lot of money to play around with on the salary cap (at $63.9 million, which is 12th overall) will still make the biggest play for Buffalo Sabres goalie Ryan Miller at the trade deadline. Coach Ken Hitchcock and GM Doug Armstrong saw lots of Miller on Team USA at the 2010 Olympics as part of Canada's management. If so, what happens to [Halak]?

Wow. Is the Oiler front office now writing for the Journal?

I cannot think of any other person(s) as silly as the writer of this article

Agreed.

this is quite possibly the most stupid 'rumor' I have seen in a long time.

November 18, 2013  09:30 AM ET

I wonder why the rumor won't die? Stupid article. Everyone has a bad game here and there. 13-3-3? I agree that's a sign of a really bad team.

November 18, 2013  09:37 AM ET

even better, it involves Buff and St. Louie but written out of Deadmonton.

Oh well, guess you write about other teams when yours is in the crapper

Oh, I don't know. I kind of like it. I think they wish to remind the Blues that the Oilers will soon have to goalies available: One Mr. Bryzgalov or one Mrs. Dubnyk.

Oh! And, while you're at it, tell Hitch and Armstrong that we have Monster available for cheap. A 2nd round draft pick will do. ;-)

The way things are going it makes more sense for the Pens to pick him up.

I just included the top three. The CBC doesn't have enough hockey anymore but I did see Glenn Healy wearing a Leafs' helmet the other night.

Am i the only one who thinks Miller is past his peak already ? I have no idea why so many Teams seem interested ? If you could get him on a short 2-3 year deal at no more then 4 mill okay , but some of the numbers i hear are ridiculous.
