07:41 AM ET 11.18 | John Scott, as tough as they come on the ice, couldn't find a dance partner against the Leafs -- so he sharpened his rhetoric instead. Incensed at having been ejected from Saturday's game during an animated third-period skirmish that involved multiple players, including Toronto defenceman Dion Phaneuf, Scott lashed out at the Maple Leafs captain. "All of a sudden I'm not allowed to hit him anymore," Scott said, according to Buffalo radio station WGR. "He's Princess Phaneuf. It's a joke." Scott was ejected along with Frazer McLaren of the Leafs at 5:34 of the third after a series of near scraps began when Phaneuf narrowly missed being levelled by Scott in the open ice. Phaneuf said afterward that he slipped, but Scott was accosted by Leafs tough guys Colton Orr and McLaren after the play.

The law of the jungle in hockey says if I can take one of your guys out I help my team win. If I take them out for a few weeks, even better. If it's for the season or longer, oh well. "I'm not dirty player, I just finish my checks and play hard". Sound familiar?? Who's this idiot trying to kid?

To be fair to Scott, he made a heckuva play.

It was quite impressive to see someone 6 foot 8 get down THAT low to hit Phaneuf.

Two days in a row for this goon? Great job, FN. Bravo.

Sadly, it's reflection of of the warped perspective many have. I was in Philly to watch the Oilers/Flyers. The morons running the center ice video screen replayed a 30 second fight for ~3 minutes from various angles. The crowd loved it.

So, the interns at FN are just reflecting what they've been taught.

Just wait for the "princess" comments from the left coast - home of the sisters!

but I thought he wasn't a meathead...

I don't know if they are giving the fans what they want or are just trying to get them more interested in the fights than winning games. Sad part for Flyer fans is they've been losing both lately.
