South Carolina starting receiver Dion Lecorn was arrested and jailed on a marijuana charge Sunday after Cayce police responded to a complaint of loud music coming from a car parked outside an apartment complex. Lecorn, fellow freshman receiver Matt Clements and a third man, John Casselberry, admitted to police they had been smoking pot after officers detected a strong odor and found a burned piece of "tobacco paper with green plant material believed to be marijuana" in the ashtray of Lecorn's car, according to an incident report. Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier indefinitely suspended Lecorn and Clements from all team activities, USC media relations director Steve Fink said. Attempts to reach the players on Monday were unsuccessful.

The Ol' Ball Coach could probably use a little of the herb himself, maybe then he'd quit abusing innocent visors.

I'm a huge Gamecock fan, but even I have to wonder what kind of kids we are recruiting? Every year it's the same thing, more athletes in trouble! I could see if USC was in Coral Gables Florida or something! But hell it's Columbia, SC we're talking about here! Add to that not making a bowl game this past season and the "ole ball coach" ain't lookin so good!
