Kidd: 'It's just bad coaching'

07:24 AM ET 11.19 | Down Deron Williams, Brook Lopez and Andrei Kirilenko, the Nets might reasonably be graded on a curve, but, with their payroll, sympathy doesn't come easy. [On Monday, they] shot out of the gates, exceeding their previous season-high point totals for a quarter and for a half, elating a sellout crowd at Barclays Center. Before the night was done, though, boos could be heard filtering from the rapidly shrinking audience. ... After the buzzer, it was a quiet arena and an even quieter Nets locker room. Coach Jason Kidd tried to take sole responsibility for the loss, and since a majority of the players left without answering questions from reporters, no one could rebut his sentiment, as unlikely as it seemed. "It's just bad coaching," Kidd said. "I take the blame for this."

It's time he goes for a long drive with the Mayor of Toronto

Brooklyn look like the Lakers of last season. It appears that you can't sqeeze oil (Garnet, Pierce) into water (Lopez, Williams, Johnson) and a little carosine (Kidd) and have something that will work effectively. This team does not have any juice!

Worse hiring EVER!!* gives Laker Nation the siiiiiiiiiiiiiiide-eye *I am positive that he wouldn't have even been considered had the Celtic trade happened first. What happened to working your way thru the ranks of assistant coaching? This team has a one year window to make some noise. Looks like they will be going out with a whimper.Horrible team at that price.

Yeah Kidd should have not been the first option. If you have a win now mentality you don't really want a coach learning on the job. Now he may have been a coach on the floor as a player but it is way different now. First choice should have been Lionel Hollins but this move was like a publicity move.

Yup, it looks like any coach will not make this team play better. They're just too old and too broken down. They don't have energy. No young guns to energize them. DWill is satisfied w/ just making max.

No doubt they will still make the playoffs 20 games or so they will click and a few of their players will be healthy. Right now they are old and injured with no chemistry. They will get it together and they are still the best team in the division. The Atlantic division will be the worse division from top to bottom

Nerlens Noel looks like he is ready to be back soon. His jump shot is still bad though.

I'm sure for those who play NBA 2k14 the nets appear unbeatable...
But that is mere simulation, reality says they are overrated.
May have looked like they could do something, but the truth is they almost look like the 2004 pistons, without the defense.
