09:46 PM ET 11.19 | The Dallas Cowboys offense has struggled, and there have been injuries all over. The offensive line has lost players; wide receiver Miles Austin has battled injuries with his hamstring. Austin is expected to return on Sunday though. The Cowboys are 4-1 in the five games Austin has played. While he might not be the most productive player, he helps the offense in other ways. In those five games, Austin has caught 15 passes for 125 yards. Take out his big opening night performance and he has five catches for 53 yards. Yet his presence on the field opens up other receivers.

He's better than Megatron... He doesn't need help.

I'm guessing warm ups.

He'll be lucky to last the first half.

I foresee Austin becoming one of about twenty salary cap casualties next spring.

Yup. But for the rest of the season I'd run him until the wheels fall off.

We are gonna suck next season, Steve.

Or - to quote the great Donald Fagen; "I foresee terrible troubles, but I stay here just the same..."

This guy hasn't been right since Kim Kardashian.

I believe the statement was "I can do anything he can do." Nothing about better.

He should have qualified it with "but not as often" and then he'd have been 100% correct.

Planning for the inevitable.

Doesn't matter if his return helps the rest of the receivers. Defense can't expect to get 6 takeaways this time around, and that's the only thing that allowed the Cows to hang on for the win in the opener.

Ya well now Dallas will two cluster F's to deal with. Wonder how long it is before they start complaining, "so and so is getting more balls thrown to him that me, woo hoo" " My agent says if I don't get enough catches I miss the big money"

November 20, 2013  01:29 PM ET

big deal..... Austin is back for a few weeks. enjoy your final games in dallas and go be a cheerleader on another team's sidelines next season for half the money. another brilliant deal done by our GM!

November 20, 2013  07:40 PM ET

A fresh body for Dez to get animated with on the sideline. It's now or never Big D!!!
