07:18 AM ET 11.20 | As a franchise with Jerry Jones at the top and the notion of America's Team in its history, the Cowboys are naturally saddled with expectations: Win a title. [Safety Will Allen] joined Alex Marvez and Bill Polian on Sirius XM NFL radio Tuesday and said he believes the atmosphere around the Cowboys makes winning incredibly difficult. "It was a very micro-managed atmosphere. Everything was heightened. Everything was very hyped. I didn't feel the relationship and the bonding between players and coaches," Allen said. " ... I think that's the rift that you get and everybody wonders why Dallas can't win; why Dallas isn't completing everything it needs to. The players are great. The players are tremendous. The coaches are some of the best in the business. You just need a cohesion there."

Atmosphere? If someone let loose with one, open a window!

You will have that when you have a owner like Jerry Jones Building a mega staduim and Jones being the solvent that keeps the team from bonding.

I hope Will Allen is some good, otherwise he may be in another uniform next season.

And you think Jerry cares? As long as Jerry is entrenched in his personal NFL Fantasy Camp coach/GM experience, I don't see the Cowboys being an NFL power. Sorry Otis.

I don't think the whole "America's Team" crap means anything to anyone except the media. They just pull it out to fan the flames of whatever story they're trying to blow up and it never matters in the end.

November 20, 2013  08:28 AM ET

Micro managed environment?... The absolute worst.

November 20, 2013  08:41 AM ET

I don't think Jerry will ever deduce that he might be the problem.

Atmosphere?? Global warming???

considering there has only been ONE constant in the many years since their last SB appearance it still won't ever sink in with JJ.

He didn't make it out of Week 2 before the Cowboys let him go.

Probably tried to do something stupid like exhibit some semblance of leadership. Lord knows we can't have that.

The word "leadership" has been tossed around in quite a few locker rooms lately. I sense a pattern with these younguns.

Nope. Jerry stands in the way of Jerry.

November 20, 2013  09:35 AM ET

After the Giants administer a giant spankeroo on the Cowboys JJ will have that usual constipated look.

Nope. Jerry stands in the way of Jerry.

Jerry's massive ego has turned him into the new Al Davis. Except Al was a great coach and GM before he got old and the game passed him by. Jerry's been incompetent from day one and the will remain so forever. The Cowgirls are doomed to mediocrity.

Me too...

The good teams have it. The mediocre ones pretend to. The bad ones don't have anything near it.

How does that affect the honeybees?

Good work stinging those Lions on Sunday. It was a hive effort.

All that cap maneuvering restructuring of contracts is their biggest issue going forward. Yes Romo will get bonus money next year instead and kick that can down the road, but it is not enough when they start somewhere between $21 and $31 million over the cap.

No room for free agency help and a starter or two will have to be let go. They have made some solid drafts lately, but years of throwing stuff against the wall to see what sticks is not fixed easily.

November 20, 2013  10:02 AM ET

JJ's ego sucks all of the oxygen out of the Cowboys' atmosphere.

November 20, 2013  10:10 AM ET

Jerry's ego + "being all about the WOW" instead of sensible drafts built around creating solid offensive and defensive lines = another couple of years down the drain.
