Call me crazy, though, I'd rather see them sign Lofton than Nixon.

I don't know why you guys got rid of Lofton. He WAS your offense in the playoffs.

Plus, he's like the facking mayor of Cleveland. He puts butts in seats and that's not bad for a team, right?

A lot of Indians fans still don't identify with the current team, and cling to the "glory days" of the late 90's. I think Lofton could help make that transition, too.

Hunter's going to make $18.5M (including signing bonus) in '08, so even the $6M Lofton got last year looks like a bargain. Plus Lofton played for less than $4M in '06, '05 and '04.

To me, it makes so much sense on so many levels that I don't understand why it hasn't happened yet. Then I realize that the fact that it makes so much sense to me and hasn't happened yet proves that I'm an idiot.

I think Lofton will end up in Cincy as the bridge to Jay Bruce.
