Baylor QB earning Heisman invite

07:26 AM ET 11.20 | Baylor QB Bryce Petty has Baylor pointed in the right direction, and he's gaining national attention in the process. [Over the weekend,] Art Briles' squad logged a 63-34 win over Texas Tech in Arlington despite falling behind 20-7 in the first quarter. The Bears are 9-0 for the first time in school history, and Petty led the way against the Red Raiders. He threw three touchdown passes and ran for two more, which marked his third five-touchdown game of the season. ... [Petty] He is the latest in a long line of efficient signal-callers in Briles' system, but contests against Oklahoma State and Texas remain. If he continues to play well against the tougher competition, Petty could at the very least net an invite to New York and perhaps win the award.

Going to be interesting to see how both teams deal with the weather. Supposed to be around freezing at kickoff, and windy.

The history between Baylor and OkSU does not bode well for the Bears this coming Saturday. Baylor hasn't won in Stillwater for an age. Streaks are meant to be broken. What are your arguments for or against a Baylor victory?

aside from the injuries and weather, my argument is that Baylor has a better offense AND defense than OKLite this year

Baylor did a terrible job promoting thier QB for the Heisman trophy. Fire the Baylor SID immediately. Sad in a way. The kid was good. steering the wheel for Briles and avoiding pot holes.

Yeah, that SID did a horrible job with RGIII.

What Guido said. Weather will play into the imposter aggies' hands.

We'll see what kind of depth Briles has developed cuz they have several injuries.

Guido, is Hagar out too?

last I heard, will be missing 1st and 2nd string RB, 1st LT, 2nd WR, 1st LB and DB

Yes, Hagar will prob miss. Last word, he's a gametime decision, but my uncle says he won't play

QUOTE(#7):

Don't go kid you ain't winning the Heisman. Manziel or the girl attacker from Florida State will win. Marlboro or Winston whatever his name is.

He deserves to be in the mix with Manziel, Mariotta and Winston. Who does NOT belong? A future NFL backup named McCarron.
