07:28 AM ET 11.20 | He'll be back? Everett Golson might practice with Notre Dame before a bowl game, but there is an important first step to that: getting back into school. Evidently, that is officially in the works for the exiled quarterback. Golson has submitted an application for readmission to Notre Dame for the spring semester, Irish coach Brian Kelly said Tuesday. "That application process has been submitted from what I know of," Kelly said during his weekly news conference. "And decisions relative to admissions happen in middle of December." A school spokesman confirmed that a mid-December timeframe for admission decisions would be accurate. ... [Golson] spent his fall training in suburban Chicago and then moving on to work with noted quarterback guru George Whitfield in San Diego.

No. He's just their best bet to have a QB so he'll get a pass.

It is beginning to look like the land thieves beat the domers without a QB.

Possibly but they still beat them and it wasn't close. Keep in mind I think 14 points were the result of the defense and bad QB'ing.

Love the poor grammar in the headline. Maybe "Fannation" needs a grammar lesson.

I just hate everything about Notre Dame from the fake image of superiority to the moronic fan base to dull dreary cold Indiana to the fat weak face of wimpy Brian Kelly.

Someone apparently hates ND more than I do and that says a lot.

QUOTE(#3):

Yes. After every practice session the last two months George Whitfield would personally give him a quiz on what he learned about QB play that day. He graded C or better on every quiz. $200 a day camps are very demanding. Those scores have been sent to the admissions office as proof that he is now ready to return to the classroom.

I think what DC refers to is a play on the Sooners nickname. Sooners is derived from the original land rush in Oklahoma when a number of people cheated in staking their claims prior to the official start of the race. (DC can correct me if I'm wrong)

Did you flip a quarter to Joni Mitchell? ;p

I think this is good news for ND as they'll surely need him in the Beef O' Brandy Bowl..........
