America rooting against New England

07:14 AM ET 11.21 | In New England, they're still talking about the call that ended Sunday night's game. This is the team that was caught cheating in the "Spygate" scandal in 2007. This is the team caught cheating against the New York Jets this season, illegally pushing teammates on a field goal attempt. ... This is a team with one of the least-likable coaches in the modern era of professional football. Bill Belichick has a great record, but Ravens coach John Harbaugh was right when he called that record "stained" because of Spygate, and Belichick's grouchy arrogance makes him an unsympathetic figure outside of New England. Tom Brady may be 9-4 vs. Peyton Manning, but I'm betting most of America will be pulling for Manning and the Broncos come Sunday night.

Obviously. A head coach who makes Oscar the Grouch seem like a nice guy. A Statistical qb who has been gifted a few SB's

you shouldn't be talking about gifts.

Probably the most predictable story of this week from the Denver Post...

True that!

And fans from other cities who simply can't recognize a team that's been the most consistent playoff team in the last couple of decades, because they draft well and trade well, generally, and everybody works hard. They don't allow children to fight in the locker room, and criminal behavior gets you tossed pretty quickly.

The New England offense and defense are both generally accepted as being very complex, and guys who can't learn and execute the playbook don't last.

Do you like poor GM work? Then root for the Jets. Lousy coaching? The Redskins are for you. Go with the Dolphins if you like a middle-school locker room. Lots of teams have mediocre starting quarterbacks that were picked in the early rounds.

It all comes down to one word. Jealousy.

At least America isn't rooting against the Cowboys anymore...

The punch lines should be hot and heavy.

There's too many Denver post articles in here today. Somebody tell them to go back to being irrelevant.

The fact that people think the Pats were the only team to ever "spy," is comical to me.

The competition is tougher than winning the Superbowl. So many worthy teams.
