07:34 AM ET 11.22 | While some teams aren't ready to panic -- Cleveland's Mike Brown comes to mind -- J.R. Smith has his finger near that button. [Smith] said the New York Knicks are mentally "frustrated" and that he is panicking after they lost their fourth straight game. The Knicks' 103-96 overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday was the team's sixth in a row at Madison Square Garden. "We're frustrated," Smith said of where the team is mentally. ... "Like you say, it's too early to panic, but me, personally, I'm panicking. I don't like this. "I don't want to play 3-8 basketball," Smith continued, in regard to the Knicks' record. "I don't want to play 50-50 basketball. If we're going to be a championship-caliber team and call ourselves that, then we've gotta play like that. It can't be no other way."

Sorry JGB, he is telling the truth this time. They said championship but they're not even close to being a playoff team.

QUOTE(#4):

Why are you sorry? He's the one that delayed his surgery and didn't have a full camp, he's the one that missed the first 5 games. He's the one that has one of the worst shooting % in the league......and keeps shootingHe completely not focused and aware of his job or how to be a professional.....and its carrying over.I've said this form years alreadyIts a team game and when you have guys that don't try and play team ball and realize that they have to be professional on and off the court...There is no chance of winningAnd I put it all on management for enabling himThey talk about trading shump.......this is the guy that needs to goHe's a cancer

Not just him. The whole NY team. Even Melo put to much pressure on the team w/ the championship or bust. I'm just saying he is telling the truth right now. They should be panicking. Have a sense of urgency.

The problem begins at the top.

"MV: Do you think you're a good owner?

James Dolan: Yeah. I do.

MV: Why?

James Dolan: I think I watch out for my fans. I try to give them a good product. I care for the teams. I'm emotionally involved and intellectually involved. I think an owner needs to be present. When an owner is not present that's when things tend to go awry. The players, the coaches, the fans know there's somebody in charge. They may not like what I'm doing but it's much better than having nobody there. Nobody there just leaves you in despair."
