10:31 AM ET 11.23 | At the moment, Rysheed Jordan isn't a member of the St. John's basketball team. The prized freshman point guard from Philadelphia was suspended for violating team rules Friday night, missing the Red Storm's 64-54 victory over Monmouth. Head coach Steve Lavin declined to say when he will be back -- or if Jordan will return at all. Jordan, the highest-rated recruit of the Lavin era, wasn't on the bench with his teammates against Monmouth and didn't practice with the team on Thursday, though Lavin wouldn't say whether that was part of the suspension or the result of it. "He knows there are certain responsibilities," the coach said.

Dez Bryant was an academic All American at Oklahoma State. Does he strike you as an academic All American?

Was he really?

Maybe all his classes were football related

To be honest, I don't know much about Dez or the qualifications of an Academic All American.

Someone did the work to achieve academic All American status at Oklahoma State, but Dez got to put his name on it.

I do know that Ohio State's 4th year point guard Aaron Craft is a 3.94 gpa in pre-med. At Ohio State the hardest major is pre-med right after that comes the school of engineering.

Craft could play at the next level. Will be interesting to see what he does. I have spoken to him before, as well as Shannon Scott his backcourt running mate. Two of the finest young people you would ever want to meet. Good parenting I am sure.

You know Doc us OSU's (Okie Lite, tOSU and Oregon St) have a pact to keep our noses clean.

Don't want to tarnish that OSU reputation. :)

The NCAA can't spot a violation south of the Mason Dixon line.

T Boone provides a lot.

Dez Bryant made the big 12 all academic second team for football in 2008. The Big 12 wouldn't dare look into their all academic team, but that does not make him an Academic All-American
