08:56 AM ET 11.24 | According to a Dolphins source, Incognito paid in the ballpark of $30,000 to quietly settle a case with the woman whom he was accused of sexually harassing and molesting (with a golf club) at a 2012 team charity event. As ESPN's Adam Schefter has noted, Incognito was summoned to the league office before the 2012 season to discuss two off-field incidents. One was the golf event and the other involved misbehavior that was the result of drinking, according to a Dolphins source not authorized to give other details.

And you thought it was expensive to play Pebble Beach.

I'm not defending him, but watch how quickly assumptions are made.

It is more than likely he tapped one of the swimsuit teebox models on the butt with a golf club when she wasn't looking than anything else. C'mon, if it would have been what some of you are thinking the $30K would have been $3M.

Kind of what I was thinking. A little unexpected goose as she giggled all the way to the lawyers office.

Here is the thing. The guy has had social issues going back to his Nebraska days and through the Rams and now. The least surprised people in all of this is the dolphins management. Then add in Pouncey has shown some "sketchy" behavior early on and it was dumb to even bring the guy in to the building to begin with. Just not worth it.

Only 30k? I guess he bogeyed the hole!!!!!!

This guy really seems like a prince among men.

really?

He probably stroked the golf club suggestively. It would've cost more than 30 grand if he goosed her with the club. IMO.

Lots of fair comments here on the broad spectrum of what he might have actually done--all plausible. I asked two female authorities nearby and the rub for both is "he's a pig". This isn't just that he's heavy; he's just rude and I suspect fueled by alcohol (yes people drink on the golf course even charity events) even more of a pig. His behavior is boorish and might work with strippers he is paying but doesn't fly with every model/Temp who is hired to go to Car Shows, Golf Tourneys, Trade Shows etc where there is some eye-candy required. I suspect that if your average Football "Hunk" (I'll defer to others to pick who you think fits the bill) could've done the same to the girl and NOT endured a suit.

Unfortunately it becomes a risk/reward scene. Wide receivers who bring 1,200 yards to the table or RBs who offer up 1,000+ yards or franchise QBs get "counseling" and are declared " cured." OGs? Not so much.

Comments are pretty much the norm. You'd think there would be more important stories on game day!!
