Spurs stars tired of winning big

07:22 AM ET 11.26 | Lucky No. 13 will go down as a 112-93 thumping of the Pelicans, but let the record show that San Antonio was at one point losing the game, 4-2. The brutally efficient 46 minutes and 54 seconds that followed more closely resembled the easy-does-it, drama-free basketball the Spurs have patented over the course of what became an 11-game winning streak. ... Monday's win -- which moved the Spurs to 13-1 for only the second time in club history -- was their seventh in the past eight games to come by at least 11 points. It improved the team's average margin of victory during the streak to 15.1 points. So dominant have the Spurs been of late, it has their regulars pining for the good old days when they got to play in the fourth quarter. "We're all players and want to play," said Manu Ginobili.

You Couldn't Win The 'Big One' Last Year, Bros.

whaaaaaat? None of the vets (and especially Manu) are saying this.

On a more important note, Pelicans' Anthony Davis is going to be a superstar. He may not have had a great stat line last night, but he was playing very well.

QUOTE(#5):

he will be a good player- but he was taken #1, has talent around him and the team still stinksat some point you have to elevate your team

True, he has a ways to go. But given his slow start last year due to injuries and the fact that he is only 20, he has the potential.

Not sure as to what to make of NO. Seems like they have a logjam at guard.

The Holliday trade was dumb, they could have used Noel and Davis as twin towers. And signing of Gordon was even dumber. Oh I forgot that Evans signing was the dumbest.

Yeah, seems like one of the three has to go. They have $35 mil tied up in those three, which is more than half the team's payroll. Some trade is in order.

It's the truth. They can't help themselves. They're tired of winning big but no team is stopping them from winning big...

Lol. Not a bad problem to have...
