07:33 AM ET 11.26 | No matter what happens this season, bigtime Michigan tackle Taylor Lewan is coming back to the Wolverines. [Lewan] on his decision to skip the NFL draft and return to U-M: "People might think I might regret my decision to come back. Absolutely not. Just being around these guys in the locker room, win or lose, they're my brothers. I got to experience college for another year, and that's huge. We didn't win a Big Ten championship and didn't accomplish some individual awards, but at the same time, I'm playing football with my friends. Hopefully I can do that in the future also, but I'm happy about it right now. Academically, I'm going to get my degree from the 14th-best college in the world. You can't beat that. Except for the other 13 colleges. But that's huge."

14th best college in the world...? Oxford, Leeds, The Sorbonne, Trinity and a few others might have an ussie with that statement...

"issue" that is...

Not quite, TL. Times Higher Education (THE) has a 2013 World University Rankings list that puts TSUN at #18. Still pretty prestigious considering the company.

Also off THE list... Top 100: Northwestern (#22); Illinois (29); Wisconsin (30); Minnesota (46); Penn State (49); Ohio State (59), and Purdue (62).

Give me the SEC names on the list? Vandy and UF, I am guessing, in that order, and nobody else?

Purdue's a private school, right? And, they're ranked below The Ohio State University, a public land grant university...

No Purdue is a public land grant university under the auspices of the Indiana General Assembly and the Governor's office.

Only private school in B1G is Nerdwestern. They replaced the only other private school in B1G University of Chicago.

Where is Notre Dame ranked? You know the quintessential 'private' school.

Harley where are the Meatchicken fans? The game has lost its luster. Sad to say but the only way it might regain some is for Brady's boyz to do the unthinkable this Saturday.

Hey PU good to see ya.

How do you see Saturday going? A win for Brady? If not will you cover (16pts)? Thoughts?

MIT might have been a consideration if it were a gateway to the NFL like Michigan.....just sayin'

...Then don't think it! ;)

Channel your hate instead. It can be unrequited, you know.

November 26, 2013  10:06 AM ET

Let's not forget UC Berkeley, Stanford, UCLA and USC are only ranked world wide...especially Stanford and Berkeley.

After Notre Dame I thought were were really good, that thought has eroded over the weeks and now they are marginal AT BEST. Gardner is a Jekyll/Hyde type player looking good one moment, atrocious the next, the interior three are as porous as a spaghetti colander with exacerbates the fact that Toussaint can't block a lick.............if it weren't for Funchess and Gallon U of M fans would have nothing to be excited about.

I think the OSU/UofM game will be played as if it were Michigan's bowl game - because their bowl game will be played so far before Jan 1st it will be irrelevant.

OSU is the DECIDEDLY better team, no argument there, they should win and handily at that (i.e cover the spread) but who knows, maybe Michigan will dig deep and play with some pride.

Smart money though says lay the points. I am a ZEALOUS Michigan fan, but I am also a realist.
