USC changing its offense on the fly

07:34 AM ET 11.26 | First came receivers Nelson Agholor and Darreus Rogers. Now it is tight ends Xavier Grimble and Randall Telfer, and fullbacks Soma Vainuku and Jahleel Pinner. With All-American receiver Marqise Lee struggling through injuries that limited him or forced him to sit out games, USC offensive coordinator Clay Helton has expanded the playbook and is utilizing more players in the passing game as the Trojans head into Saturday's matchup with No. 22 UCLA at the Coliseum. In last week's victory at Colorado, Grimble caught a season-high six passes. Telfer, who has struggled because of injuries, caught a touchdown pass. ... Helton's spread-the-ball mentality could bode well for the No. 23 Trojans, who will face a UCLA team that ranks 67th among 123 major-college teams in pass-efficiency defense.

The Velcro Fly, that is.

"Oh, have you seen the Coliseum, Spaniard..."

USC may have the mojo to undo their Pasadena rivals.

Keep Coach "O" and Helton, screw Summlim and Rio.

November 26, 2013  10:01 AM ET

I meant Sumlin

Great game. Hearkens back to those matches of yore. I think UCLA in a close one.

I think that's Marie Osmond. She needs heavy filtering now.

They have been an entertaining team to watch since Easy Ed took over.

Wasn't Kiffin calling the plays before Haden met him at the airport? Perhaps if he had let his coordinators do their jobs, he would still have his.

Nail on the freakin head.

Noh whey. Undo, the mighty Bruins. They have a 1 game winning streak vs. USC and totally destroyed them by 10 points last year, while USC was on a 7 game losing streak. Even though Shaq Evans said he was so glad to know that they were going to beat USC again this year, I don't see how it's a given. I see USC winning by their average margin of victory over the past 14 years, which is 28 points. It will be a great game.

AS long as it keeps working, I'm okay with that! 8-)

USC us getting healthy and UCLA suffered some injuries in their last game. Game is at the Coliseum. I'd take USC.

I remember coach Weis demoting himself after the 3-9,, 2007 season. Needless to say,, it didn't last.
