07:12 AM ET 11.27 | On the upside, Aaron Rodgers was back on the practice field Tuesday, wearing his red practice jersey and throwing footballs. Afterward, [Mike McCarthy] -- one day after saying Rodgers' chances of playing against the Lions were "slim to none" -- said it's more like the latter. "It does not look like Aaron is going to make it," McCarthy said. ... "This was a big day actually for him as far as doing throwing and doing some of the things the targets that the training staff wanted to hit with him. They definitely hit it. So, he feels good. But I don't think he's going to make it this week." Asked if Rodgers' odds are still slim to none, McCarthy replied: "Closer to none. It's something to write about. I'm trying to help you out -- the drama BS that you guys need. So, there it is, all right?"

Amen coach. Just bs media drama.

November 27, 2013  08:21 AM ET

Love it when a coach plays to the media...

November 27, 2013  08:33 AM ET

Rex Ryan laughs at that kind of drama.

November 27, 2013  08:37 AM ET

I was hoping for a thread about Packers OL Josh Sitton and his comments about the Lions D and Jim Schwartz. Nothing we couldn't have seen coming for a rivalry game, but it's safe to say that it's on for tomorrow at Ford Field.

Rex wishes he had that drama at the QB position.

All 3 of them up there in Green Bay.

Even if you lose tomorrow in Detroit coach with 5 games to play afterward with Rodgers you are still the best team in your division and should win it.

Just a little ***** slap to let the media know their place.

Mc Carthy's way of telling reporters that I am the coach and you are just the reporters. I will answer your Questions. but I will decide when Rodgers is ready to play.

November 27, 2013  09:52 AM ET

Is Scott Tolzien starting ?

November 27, 2013  09:57 AM ET

Blah blah blah, Lions win in a blowout without Rodgers. Lacy won't break 75 yards against the 4th best rush defense in the NFL, giving up only 88 yards per game.

Flynn, which is the smart move since he looked decent last week. He also had that insane game in GB a few years vs the Lions.

A win by Detroit would pretty much kill any hopes of Green Bay . It would put Detroit at,( 7-5 / 4-1 ), and Green Bay at, ( 5-6-1 / 2-2-1 ), with 4 games to play and put Green Bay 1.5 games behind.

Green Bay : Atlanta , @Dallas, Pittsburgh , @Chicago

Detroit : @ Philadelphia , Baltimore , NYG's , @Minnesota

I think if Green Bay wins then you will see Aaron Rodgers return this season. If they lose he will not return. Unless Green Bay enjoys watching their prized player pummeled by defenses.

Last time Flynn started for GB against the Kitty cats 480 yrds/6 TD's .......lions defense ranked 22nd - could turn out to be a long day for Detroit, and I do think Lacy will gain more then 88yrds.......Detroit will finish 3rd in the division by losing 4 of there next 5.

Considering the huge contract they gave Rodgers, this makes sense.

I think Detroit is going to harass Flynn tomorrow. Flynn had time against a soft Viking D, but Detroit's pass rush is a helluva lot stronger.

23-14 Detroit.

Considering the way the Lions usually beat themselves, Mac could play QB.

I agree.
