Mavs will target Bosh

07:30 AM ET 11.28 | Forgive some franchise fans -- such as, say, those in Cleveland -- for daring to dream a little about LeBron James. But those [free agent] options are taking a beating. The Cavs are off to a terrible start to the season, going 4-10. ... The Lakers' $48 million extension they gave Kobe Bryant this week has left them with enough cap space to either sign one max player or to re-sign Pau Gasol next summer, but not both. ... There are a few long shot entries. The Bulls could clear cap space with a few roster moves but the knee injuries to Derrick Rose have changed their landscape. The Dallas Mavericks will have cap space and some star power but league executives expect them to target another Heat free agent, Dallas native [Chris Bosh].

Bosh would fit nice as a Maverick

I can more then see this happening for two reasons.... 1) It's Bosh's hometown 2) I highly doubt the Miami Heat will offer up the money Dallas would to retain Bosh on their roster. Bosh would most definitely bolt for more money as it would be the last big contract he would most likely sign in his NBA career.

What Happens To Dirk, Bros?

November 28, 2013  09:49 AM ET

Mavs couldn't land Cp3, D Will, Howard...
What makes them think they could land Bosh?
They can land second tier guys(Ellis) and probably a Rudy Gay but I doubt Bosh leaves the heat superfriends for an aging Dirk and an almost all star in Ellis.

I bet you Bosh leaves the moment the Heat decide they won't offer anything more then $11-$12 million a season. The Mavs would definitely overpay and Bosh would bolt for the extra dough...

Dallas apparently hasn't learned anything. They went through the same scenario with Deron Williams and then again with Dwight Howard. Bosh isn't going anywhere. Especially if LeFlake stays. And he isn't leaving either.

Really?
Well let him go if he wants to.
Bosh leave a chance at more titles for Dallas?

Never.

Bosh has at least been the man, Ellis was never on a team with just him as the best player.
He had Baron Davis, then Curry....

If I were you as a Heat fan I'd pray this happens. The CAP room saved would really help fill out the roster and make the Heat a way more dangerous team then they already are.

Chris Bosh future on Heat still hang as of now.
If they win another title this year, I think bosh stay on Heat.
If they not, Bosh can leave Heat for another team or Heat will not sign him to cleare some money

don't get me wrong-bosh is a difference makerhe could help literally every team in the leagueI'm just sayin that he's more of a 'get you over the top piece'rather than a guy you build around for 82 games and depend on to carry the squad night in, night out

Bosh is the third piece to complete the heat, Bosh does what in Dallas?
Just gives Dirk another scorer?
Just cause he's from Dallas?
Ellis now gets more assists?
Ellis,Dirk & Bosh as a big 3 still won't get to the finals.
