Another head injury for Granlund

07:48 AM ET 11.28 | After putting together a nice little run, the Wild have now lost three of their last five, all of which have included poor starts. It survived Ottawa and Winnipeg. It cost them in Montreal, St. Louis and [Wednesday] against Phoenix during a 3-1 defeat. It didn't help that Mikael Granlund was lost 29 seconds into the game. The Wild wasn't specific about the upper-body injury that kept him out of the previous two games. This one we don't need them to be specific. We have eyes. Granlund sustained a head injury tonight for all to see. He went in to deliver a hit and Coyotes rookie defenseman Connor Murphy met him with a high hit Granlund didn't expect. Granlund went down hard, was slow to get up and when he did, he skated slowly to the bench looking dazed. Granlund has a history of concussion.

It's hard when the ice looks like you should have a surfboard under you instead of skates.

And it started with this high hit from that goon Kadri, who btw ran another goalie last night.

He got a penalty on that one, but he sure got his money's worth. I think he was just trying to get Fluery back in the net.

A very good strategy indeed. I get the feeling somebody's going sort his cheap-shot **** out one of these days.

I was a little disappointed that none of the Pens did that last night.

At the time they badly needed the PP but if somebody punched that s hit eating grin off his face later in the game it would have been fine with me.

Won't be long before he gets it. I liked his play last year but his running around like that this year makes no sense.

Speaking of goons, did anybody see Celine go after Sid last night? I guess it's alright for some big unskilled oaf to go after another team's star unless it's against the Leafs. :-0

I could not believe that the ref stood there and watched the whole thing go down without calling a penalty until Sid retaliated.

Did you see the one goal that Malkin scored? The puck was under Bernier's pad so Malkin pushed the pad into the net the swatted the puck in. How can they possibly count that goal? The play should have been whistled dead when the puck was under the pad.

Sometimes when it's two captains the refs seem to let it go farther than normal.

If you look at the 9 sec mark, side of the net, Crosby crosschecks Celine from behind, which may have been why the ref was letting it go so long.

The Leafs have stars? ;-)

This kid is wearing thin on me. He is passing pest and being an idiot out there. I wondered if it was a good move to sign a guy with one decent half season under his belt. There was more reasons than money I suspect that kept him down for so long.......we shall see.

Marchand gets under your skin, but does it in a way that is more Lemieux-ish...Claude that is.
