Where Buckeyes will attack Michigan

07:33 AM ET 11.29 | Finally, those countdown clocks are nearing 00:00: The Game looms. Coach Brady Hoke said this week that staying away from negative plays, a problem this season, is the most important thing the offense must do. That means keeping the OSU defensive line out of the backfield, and preventing those sack numbers from piling up. ... The Wolverines have allowed 102 tackles for loss this season, the second-worst total among the 125 teams in major college football, ahead of only Idaho. "That sounds good to me," [Ryan Shazier] said. ... The Buckeyes have piled up 75 tackles for loss, which ranks 26th. So the Wolverines know the Buckeyes are coming after them. There's a sack record to be chased. The question is whether Michigan, with a young line that has shuffled around, can do much about it.

Spoken like someone who has lived through the Cooper era! I agree with you, but I hope the Bucks' coaches and players can iron out those wrinkles really, really quickly!

On MGoBlog, their fan base were making predictions, and the funniest one was:

Brady Hoke will have a milkshake.

Urban Meyer will have a straw that goes alllllll the way across the field.

Urban will drink Brady's milkshake.

Love it.

Exactly what I said to Praying Utleys a few days ago and Hail to the Victors. I still remember 96 & 97. Painful.

In the local (Detroit) media, all the Loserine fans are hoping to keep the score respectable. The expectations of the Michigan fan base is about as low as I've seen.

I am a die hard MICHIGAN fan, but I can see the writing on the wall. This is going to be one bad butt whopping but ohio state on MICHIGAN to watch. The only thing going for MICHIGAN is that they are a young team and they will get better and we all hope that Gardner will not be the starting QB next year. ohio state 50 MICHIGAN 0.

Good luck to your Spartans vs. Minny, DS. I'd like to see MSU crack the Top Ten this weekend.

I was reading some UM fans' posts on MGoBlue.com and I was surprised by some of the comments. Many believe that in the RichieRod + Hoke era they have lost their ability to be competitive in THE GAME. I have to admit as a fan, I am less weary of UM then I was when Robinson was playing in the game. Their big TE (Funchess) can and will hurt us, but I expect Shazier (and his 4.3 speed) to keep Gardner in check and see us barely covering the 14 point spread. As for the state of Meeechigan football, good things need to happen next year and I think they will as Hoke's recruits start making a difference on the field.

I for one am tired of seeing S. Carolina, Clemson & Stanford ranked ahead of Michigan State.

Half the teams in the top 25 shouldn't even be ranked, and Michigan St. is one of them.

Michigan State would wipe the field with Shrek Orgeron's bunch.
