04:39 PM ET 11.29 | Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback William Gay came off of the corner untouched last weekend as the Steelers ran through the Cleveland Browns in Week 12. Gay ended up obliterating Browns quarterback Jason Campbell with a huge hit that led to a fumble and recovery from the Steelers. Gay made contact with Campbell's helmet before throwing the Browns signal-caller to the ground, but he was not flagged for the hit. While there was no flag during the game, the NFL office reviewed the hit and has decided to hand down a fine after the refs missed an obvious call. Gay was fined $15,750 for unnecessary roughness based on the delivery of a forcible blow to the head/neck of a quarterback in the pocket. It is not surprising, considering everyone was wondering how it was possible Gay was not fined for the hit. Campbell suffered a concussion on the play, which ultimately led to him being ruled out for the team's Week 13 meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
