08:07 AM ET 11.30 | Notre Dame safeties Eilar Hardy and Elijah Shumate were left off the team's travel roster for Saturday's game at Stanford due to a violation of team rules, coach Brian Kelly confirmed in a statement Friday. Notre Dame's safety depth will be extremely thin, with starters Austin Collinsworth and Matthias Farley most likely backed up by freshman Max Redfield and sophomore John Turner. Hardy and Shumate comprised half of Notre Dame's two-deep at safety along with Collinsworth and Farley. Hardy was previously left off the travel roster for Notre Dame's Sept. 14 game at Purdue due to a violation of team rules. He started in Notre Dame's 23-13 win over BYU last Saturday, his second start of the season.

Well, according to some reporters the answer is no. Shumate aggravated the hamstring injury he has been nursing all year and was not going to play and Hardy? Here is one quote "Neither veteran has been overly impressive this year."

Our freshmen have stepped up this season, Redfield will have a great game today in his home state.
All 3 of Notre Dames losses were do to Tommy throwing the ball directly to the other team.
We need Tommy Rees to show up tonight not Tommy Turnover.
