Are Bills still destined for Toronto?

09:30 AM ET 11.30 | For at least the past 15 years -- maybe longer -- a variety of Toronto interests have been sniffing around the Buffalo Bills, not always quietly, taking part in a rather ghoulish game. Year after year, the wagons gets circled waiting for their opportunity, waiting for the old man who owns the Bills to succumb to time. Ralph Wilson turned 95 last month. The clock continues to tick -- but the strategizing has rarely stopped. It all seems to fit in a rather neat package for now, this latest combination of rock star Jon Bon Jovi, Larry Tanenbaum, Tim Leiweke and Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment Ltd., poised to snatch the Bills from Wilson's estate, once there is a Wilson estate. Bon Jovi, not wealthy enough to purchase an NFL team on his own, needs backers to get it done. Enter MLSE and his friend, CEO Tim Leiweke -- he of the Bon Jovi banner-raising at the Air Canada Centre -- and the symmetry of the partnership here takes some shape. MLSE works with Bon Jovi, primarily with Tanenbaum, who has poked around other NFL franchises for sale in recent years. Meanwhile, Leiweke unsuccessfully chased the NFL for years in Los Angeles. MLSE has already met with stadium consultants about the costs of building a football stadium which, among other issues, has been the greatest impediment to an NFL team in Toronto.

The problem for Toronto is waiting for old Cheapskate Ralphie to kick the bucket.

Old "Two Nickles" Ralphie knows how much a funeral costs so he is going to hang on for as long as he can.

Seeing as Rogers Communication owns a large chunk of MLSE naturally they'll be known as.....

The Cable Bills.

A side note: Roger Goodells father was appointed a US Senator from New York to replace Robert Kennedy after he was assassinated.

For those that don't have a detailed History of "Two Nickles" Ralphie, here is a little bio I wrote about him not so long ago:

The Toronto Three Dollar Bills??

This also assumes that the estate wants to sell. Is the team not successful / viable in Buffalo? Just because Toronto wants doesn't necessarily mean Toronto should get, as it does with most things within Canada!
