The subject Meyer won't address

07:23 AM ET 12.02 | Of course, Ohio State had more riding on Alabama-Auburn than most, and the result has certainly changed their outlook -- at least on the outside? Internal discussion about Ohio State's enhanced involvement in the BCS Championship Game conversation will not last 15 minutes. In fact, [Urban Meyer] said he would spend "six or eight seconds" talking with the team about the Buckeyes' ranking. Ohio State moved up to No. 2 in the BCS rankings, with a slight lead over No. 3 Auburn. Instead, Meyer wants all of his players' focus directed at Michigan State, the Buckeyes' adversary for Saturday's conference title game in Indianapolis. "No conversation about it, no social networking about it," Meyer said. "Our focus is on this game and that's it. It'd be a disservice to our players if I went and worried about it."

Just win and don't allow a saban second to happen to the buckeyes.

December 2, 2013  07:46 AM ET

Buckeyes need to really put the hammer down for this game, gonna be the toughest game they played so far this year.

Michigan St. has a great run defense they say, but then again the Buckeyes probably have the best 1-2 running game in College football with B.Miller & C.Hyde and I don't think Mich St. will be able to slow them down

+1. You're up early this morning, Hippy!

Can't put the cart before the horse. I think that's what happened in Ann Arbor and it almost cost tOSU The Game. A BCS berth can't be had if the Bucks can't take care of business in Indy first.

And Sparty is a formidable opponent.

Just take care of business and then work on the pass defense.

He is basically saying to his team, **** and don't give them any bulletin board material. I kinda have to agree with him. MSU will test OSU.

Yup. That game is definite must-see-TV.

I'm not sure who I will pull for. I have always liked tOSU, have a bro-in-law who is an alum. As a Gator that has become somewhat jaded by Urb's departure and the situation he left, he makes it tougher to like tOSU. D'Antonio has earned my respect over the years, and I have a soft spot for teams with tough D and "an O that has to work for it" -- and I like how Lil Bro has kicked Big Bro and gotten the upper hand. Tough decision. Any bids to influence my allegiance? ;-)

Hey, DS, Hillbilly laid down the challenge. Which Sparty opponent has had the best running game to defend this year? I'm trying to get a bearing for my "pick" and I haven't seen many Sparty games.

Likewise bucknuts, which opponent on the tOSU schedule had the best run defense that would give me a gauge for the Sparty game?

Nope. Iowa and Sparty are my B1G favs...always have been. Even if one does allow a skirt wearing mascot.

My daughter even named her dog (that I inherited when she went to college) Spartacus..aka Sparty so I gotta root for the green guys.

And, you aren't sane anyway Punto Cinco!!!!

Well let me say this... As long as Mizzou wins the SEC... I will be fine with Sparty winning...

Urb has more big-game experience, so there's that on their side. But Sparty will come with the us-against-the-world mentality and that is worth a lot in CFB.

I am still debating.

That would've been an unbelievable statement in Sept.

I think Mizz beats Aubie, but will pull for the Cow College for the sake of my fam.

December 2, 2013  08:57 AM ET

No complaints this year by anyone. If ya beat Michigan State you are in. If not, then it is Auburn vs FSU. Everybody knows when the season starts that if you lose to anybody, you are not in control of the rest of it.

Why you think Mizzou will beat Aubie?

First and foremost, Aubie has been to the good-luck bank too many times already, and are overdrawn on their account.
