Rangers ready to deal?

07:34 AM ET 12.03 | The Blueshirts slipped back to .500 on Monday night, and they did so in front of a crowded press box. There were plenty of scouts and NHL front-office personnel at the Garden on Monday night taking in the Rangers' 5-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets, including Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli, Flyers assistant GM Ron Hextall and two representatives from the Ottawa Senators. The Sens, you'll recall, are the club that reportedly had made offers for defenseman Michael Del Zotto. Well, even though Del Zotto got involved on the offensive end, he finished minus-three and was on the ice for three Jets goals, including when he gave Devin Setoguchi too much of a gap to fire a game-tying goal past Cam Talbot. ... In other words, it's not likely this outing helped GM Glen Sather's ability to up the ante on a potential deal.

after Falk had to fight Peluso, I could see CN coming over from Ottawa; which also explains the mystery of why MDZ was in the line-up. You sat a good young defenseman in Moore last night; so hopefully something good comes before Christmas.

Game was awful to watch; especially the second period.

As I mentioned, the Rangers had no chance when the Jets were promised a day off in Florida if they won last night.

Chiarelli could've been there to watch Nash for Canada. I don't see why the B's would be making deals of any nature at this juncture. Hextall probably got lost on the Turnpike.

agree.

I mean we all agree Sather is a blithering idiot, but please, for the love of Christmas, if you do something really really stupid Sather, just dont grab someone from the Flyers!!!

Definitely not a good time to be a NY based sports fan, especially if you're into the NBA. How pathetic is this, the Raptors LEAD the Atlantic Division with a woeful 6-10 record. The Knicks and Nets? They're a combined 8-25. Ouch.
