Cowboys expect Sean Lee back next week

08:51 PM ET 12.03 | The Dallas Cowboys have been able to go 2-1 over their past three games, but the defense has unquestionably been shaky. A big reason for the team's inconsistent play is the absence of middle linebacker Sean Lee, who has missed the past three weeks with a knee injury. Lee is expected to be back for next week's Monday Night Football matchup against the Chicago Bears. Lee is one of the top middle linebackers in the league, so having him back should give the team's defense the boost that they need to help the team keep opponents out of the endzone and contribute to keeping Dallas atop the NFC East.

For the first time this year, I'm watching a Dallas Stars game. They're playing well against the Hawks with 10:00 left to play. Go Stars!

However, I would prefer keeping those 50-18 shot games to a minimum please.

Struggling to beat the friggin' Bobcats isn't interesting.

When I flipped over and saw they were down 10 to that crappy team I nearly lost it.

Gonna take a lot more than the return of Lee to fix that Dallas defense.

I don't have enough energy to be disgruntled by 2 teams at a time.

And then there is this optimistic view...

Go Cowboys!

Dallas' defense sucks but Lee could make a huge difference. Dude is the unquestioned leader of the defense and has a knack for being around the ball, making plays. Turnovers and such.

Not trying to build a castle in the sky but Lee could be just what the Cowboys need to make one last stand against Philly in the East.

Especially with the way Romo has been playing lately, all interception-free and stuff.

Then again it was November, and Romo does this crap every November. Makes you think he's arrived and such.

Hope it continues.

Yeah, Dallas' defense isn't gonna be good either way. But Lee gives them a chance.

We could make a list of what Dallas "needs". What good would it do? The real changes won't begin until the current GM retires.

Might as well just enjoy the wins they get until then.
