[Porter] still is non-committal if he will play this week, but he has to pass a crucial test for coach Randy Wittman to seriously consider giving him minutes vs. the Milwaukee Bucks. "I feel good, for the first time, going up and down (the court)," Porter said after an almost two-hour session at Verizon Center on Wednesday. "I don't know about Friday. But I feel like I'm getting more in shape." The reserves did most of the practicing as Porter went for the second time since returning from a right hip flexor that had kept him out since Sept. 13. ... The second unit needs a steadying influence, and though Porter is just a rookie Wittman has made it clear he's looking for answers. The playing time is there for the taking if Porter feels OK physically.
