07:27 AM ET 12.05 | For Otto Porter, the final hurdle nears. [Porter] still is non-committal if he will play this week, but he has to pass a crucial test for coach Randy Wittman to seriously consider giving him minutes vs. the Milwaukee Bucks. "I feel good, for the first time, going up and down (the court)," Porter said after an almost two-hour session at Verizon Center on Wednesday. "I don't know about Friday. But I feel like I'm getting more in shape." The reserves did most of the practicing as Porter went for the second time since returning from a right hip flexor that had kept him out since Sept. 13. ... The second unit needs a steadying influence, and though Porter is just a rookie Wittman has made it clear he's looking for answers. The playing time is there for the taking if Porter feels OK physically.

I would have him coming off the bench for now for Ariza and slowly make his way into the starting lineup

Could be another bust. His jumpers is not that consistent and he has no inside game.

This Bullets team is about to be pretty good if this guy is worth anything....But im not sure i see BIG minutes for him with the way Webster has been draining threes all season....But as long as wall is healthy teams better realize this isnt your Rashard Lewis Bullets.

In this year draft if you find a role player you call it a success. If you find a starter then you struck gold. He is definitely a role player type as there really wasn't a lock player that hey needed or stood out in the draft. He is going to be a defensive specialist and insurance if Ariza leaves or is traded.

if you are a top 5 pick and you aren't a borderline AS at the minimumyou are a bustits just the way it is.

In this draft pffft... I can't agree man. This draft will produce a few ok players but it will be roll player city man. Which is good if your team has other pieces. It is a crap shoot but I am high on MCW, Oladipo CJ McCullum and McLemore as solid pieces to any team maybe the potential to make an all star team. The rest are roll players
