07:30 AM ET 12.05 | In the case of Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, patience remains a virtue. [Rondo] is scheduled to head to Florida within the next 10 to 14 days to meet with Dr. James Andrews, who performed surgery on Rondo's right knee. "It has nothing to do with Rondo's health and it's not like a final straw or anything," Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said Wednesday. "It's just a checkup that they've scheduled for the beginning of December. It's been on the calendar for a while." Celtics team doctor Brian McKeon will also make the trip with Rondo, and together with Andrews, those two will likely determine the next step in the rehabilitation process for Rondo, Ainge said. But steps remain before Rondo will see the court again for the Celtics.

As a Celtics fan I hope Rondo gets back to be the player he was and then use him as trade bait to either gets draft picks or package him with some of our bad contracts to have some relief in cap space

While there they should also check Rondo's head.

As much as the Celtics are trying to tank, even w/o Rondo, they are like 4-5 seed in the east right now LMAO.
They need to try harder to tank. Maybe everyone shoot left handed?

Any meeting with Dr. Andrews is a something to be concerned about.

The NY teams are not helping them out. They're actually competing in NY for being the #1 worse team.

thing though is- rondo is really damn good.I get trying to get picks and stuff for him, but he is a proven floor general and winner- the odds of getting a player of equal value back is low

If Rondo returns to form after this injury, he is again a top 5 point guard in the league. He is an extremely solid piece to build around for the future in Boston. They shouldn't look to trade him anymore (unless they are getting Westbrook or CP3 or someone of that ilk in return). They have enough young guys and draft picks. They need to start hitting on these picks and bringing people in who can compliment Rondo.

I wanna see Rondo in Toronto.

Think how many good point guards are in the league and think of how many good bigs are in the league. A quality point is much easier to replace than a quality big is the find. Boston should package Rondo and whoever else and try to pry Cousins from Sactown. No way Cousins resigns when his contract is up so they might as well get something for him.

Yes. He'll be hard to trade until he gets back on the court.
