May fortune of another kind follow with you to UW.

Hope he does better in the limelight than the other two Boise State bust outs, Dirk Koetter and Danny Hawkins.

To be on the "left" coast, it sure seems the 12PAC is much more fiscally conservative when it comes to paying coaches....not that $3.6 million is anything to sneeze at. Just behind the highest paid in other conferences it seems.

...and get this, Texas is SUPPOSED to be the heart of conservatism. The number I hear floated around for the next UTx coach is $8 million.

Go figure.

No idea on Koetter, Hawkins was fired after 5 games by the Montreal Allouttes.

I think that 3.6 would put him in lower half of sec and b12. Maybe 5th in stated of Texas.

What's the main difference between a Yankee and a Texan?
A Yankee walks up and sticks it in,
A Texan sticks it in and walks up...

Since USC is a private school, they don't have to reveal coaches salaries but I think Kiffin was close to that and Sark is probably getting close to that.

Grapevine was saying that USC was willing to pay up to $5M" for the right coach. Obviously, Sark wasn't the BIG hire everyone expected but I'm sure he is STILL getting a BIG chunk of change. heh heh 8-)

So a Yankee likes to take lay-ups while a Texan shoots three pointers and follows up his or her shot?

UDub came out way ahead in the exchange of coaches and I'd like to know exactly why Petersen withdrew from that search.

GW, The "bottom line" is that, CP is a Pacific Northwest type of guy. IMO he wouldn't have fit in at USC. Also Seattle is only an hour flight time to Boise.
