Jon Gruden on Texans' list of candidates?

08:38 AM ET 12.07 | ESPN's John Clayton includes ESPN Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden on his short list of candidates for the Texans' head coach job. Bob McNair wants a coach with head-coaching experience and NFL coaching experience. Since he was let go by the Buccaneers, Gruden is always a first call for any aggressive owner. It would be costly. He probably wouldn't leave ESPN for less than $8 million a year. Whoever gets the job is likely to draft a quarterback and develop him. Gruden could have his pick of the NFL draft if he's interested in this job.

And Tim Tebow. Gruden had almost as big of a man crush on Timmy as little Joshie did.

Why is everyone so high on Gruden? He never developed his own team and only won with Tony Dungy's team. The further you got fro the Dungy era, the worse his record got.

Do you see a team like Houston attracting a Cowher caliber coach? NFL coaches make millions, even the lower tier ones. He's the "Tony Romo" of coaches!!!!
