08:51 AM ET 12.07 | In what he's described as a "horrible 18 months for me," Steve Nash offered no clarity on when that will all end. The 39-year-old point guard revealed he had hoped earlier this week that he would return when the Lakers (9-9) visit the Sacramento Kings (4-11) tonight at Sleep Train Arena. But Nash said "calmer heads prevailed" and opted a more conservative approach to ensure he wouldn't "risk this kind of yo-yo season." "I might not be able to play anymore," Nash said. "I might have to yo-yo it. I might be able to play the rest of the way. Honestly right now, I'm trying to see if I can play the rest of the way." The uncertainty goes beyond whether Nash will play Sunday against Toronto, which D'Antoni considers -- doubtful."

He can still get half of $24 million. Why throw away $12 million? Got to be consistent. If your employer offers you a raise or free money than who is stupid enough to turn it down....lol

Is that really all it's about any more? How much is enough?

I guess they think it's not enough! Getting the max is more important than building a team. Being unselfish seems to be a very bad word!

Steve Nash is clearly damaged goods and should retire but won't.

I say just a shade under what you can get plus a little more on top of that would be enough....

CLEARLY...Steve needs to go to Germany for the Rhincoeros plasma injections into his damaged nerves that Kobe had injected into his knees. IT'S SO SIMPLE, STEVE!!!

SMH.
