08:59 AM ET 12.07 | The nearest body of water is the Harlem River. The sun might be shining, but a warm-weather destination? That would be any nearby bodega with the thermostat cranked up. A Pinstripe Bowl appearance was perhaps the most logical outcome for Notre Dame after its season fell short of the previous one by four wins and immeasurable amounts of exhilaration. It might not have been ideal, but it's what the Irish have. Notre Dame will return to New York to play in the Dec. 28 game against an American Athletic Conference opponent, two sources familiar with the decision confirmed to the Tribune. A team spokesman said Notre Dame had no official comment but could make an announcement Saturday. Houston and Rutgers appear to be the candidates to face the Irish in a game that kicks off at 11:15 a.m. CST.

It was great! All 4 of us brought home meat. There's nothing like spending time in God's country. We saw some truly impressive bulls!

And thanks for covering me in the pick-em.

Easy there. The trick is to determine whether it's produced by Powers, Kilbeggan or Paddy. Depends upon the hue.

CHICKEN SHI* norte DAM made a bowl? The fans should throw chicken feel at notre DAM players because Kelly is a coward.

HTTV, even you have to admit that anyone being afraid of Michigan these days is kind of laughable. Maybe in 1908 when ND as 0-8 against Michigan but these days...not so much...!

Good choice. Pinstripes will make the coach look taller and slimmer.
