09:06 AM ET 12.08 | Jason Kidd isn't in as much trouble as you'd think. The Nets don't believe they'll get an accurate picture of what he can do as a coach until they've got their full complement of players. That means the clock isn't ticking on him until after Deron Williams comes back and starts playing regularly.

The dreaded vote of confidence?

December 8, 2013  09:36 AM ET

Actually it should be all the way around, very good players can hide the abilities of an inept coach. There is enough evidence already that Kidd is not qualified to be a HC in the NBA.

QUOTE(#6):

OK...who was this?--CLEVELAND -- A fan walked onto the court during the second quarter of the Cleveland Cavaliers' 88-82 win against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, tapped Kyrie Irving on the shoulder and continued to follow him down the court before finally being taken away. With 3:09 left in the second quarter, a fan wearing jeans and a black jacket walked onto the court behind Irving after the point guard had passed the ball to Andrew Bynum and stood on top of the key. After Bynum missed a shot in the paint, the fan tapped Irving on the shoulder, unzipped his jacket and tried to show him a white shirt that read, "KYRIE DONT LEAVE" in all caps, written in black marker. The fan then began to walk down the court in Irving's direction as Chris Paul was dribbling the ball before the game was finally stopped at the 3:02 mark. Referee Gary Zielinski grabbed the fan before security ran onto the court and physically removed him as he tried to get away.

Ghost?

I think the Nets should cut a deal with Kidd. Bring in an experienced HC like Hollins/Van Gundy on a 2-year contract. Kidd stays on as a head assistant coach, and takes over after 2 years.

The Russian was mislead by Billy King, trying to save face, but J Kidd wasn't ready for a head coaching gig.

When fans become that desperate, it's almost a guarantee that he's going now.

Kidd will be gone once DWill gets settled down again. Meaning Dwill doesn't even care anymore! He is not a leader and will not take charge anymore. DWill will use the help that was given to him and let them do the failing! In other words he is a coach killer.

That's was my first thought as well. If the fan was female it would have been Sugar?

What does it matter if Williams comes back or not? Kidd probably won't make it to the All-Star break. If he does, he's gone at the end of the year anyway.

Yes, that is the brutal truth. If Kidd's job depends on DWill's performance, he should start looking for another gig.

Why they don't bring in Putin? Putin play basketball.

December 8, 2013  05:39 PM ET

They just now figured it out??? Pierce's and Garnett's effort shows more than anything that Kidd has done...

Haha, I saw that. Also, despite the urgency the article shows, in reality it was actually quite a slow response. The Ref was late to react (despite his apparent duty to keep his eyes on the court) and the security dude was even later! He came "running" on the court, slowed down a little to gather his breath, then ran again to finally catch up to the fan. What a fat good for nothing security guy. Lol... security my foot...
