09:21 AM ET 12.08 | No. 2 Ohio State fell 34-24 to No. 10 Michigan State in the Big Ten Conference Championship Game on Saturday night at Lucas Oil Stadium. The defeat was Meyer's first since taking over in Columbus, Ohio, and knocks the Buckeyes out of a spot in the BCS Championship Game on Jan. 6 in Pasadena, Calif. Florida wide receiver Quinton Dunbar (@QuintonDunbar1) tweeted: "Lol lets see if Urban Meyer play sick again #UnLoyal" UF kicker Brad Phillips (@sirekicksalot97) simply tweeted: "Justice."

Great win for Michigan State last night. Should make for a good Rowl Bowl game with Stanford.

Your Past Caught Up With You, Bro.

His health problems were cured by the in patient doctors at ESPN.

Yes. Well deserved and not surprising really. MSU has been playing better every week and OSU not so much. Next year they will be even better though I suspect.

Told my wife I always feel bad for the kids that lose a big game but didn't feel bad for Corch Meyers for one second

If they had a bit more dynamic offense then look out

I am not an Urban fan but would like to get perspective from Gator fans why the dislike for Urbie. If he bolted the Gators straight to OSU I could understand. He took a year off for "health reasons" and to "spend more time with his family" before the move.

Maybe now Ohio State can put more attention to academics (consistently among the worst in the Big 10, with the exception of a few niche areas).

I was really surprise how good Michigan State's defense was. Will there be any scoring in the Rose Bowl with two good defensive teams?

I'm proud of THE Ohio State Buckeyes and of Urban Frank Meyer as well. As most fellow Bucknuts would attest, tOSU secondary was the biggest weakness exposed in their games played these past two seasons. Couple that with the outstanding defensive play by the Sparty secondary (what a contrast in technique!), and the inevitable finally happened.

Again, congratulations to DS and his Michigan State Spartans, and to Mark Dantonio and his DC Pat Narduzzi. Oh, forgot to mention: Spartans do indeed wear tunics. ;)

As for Gator players and their schadenfreude: Get over it already. UFM's been gone for three years now.

He left a pretty bare cupboard of talent. Left a culture of "the good players get by with practically anything". Sorta made us a laughingstock with the "Oh, gotta go, no wait I'll stay" business.

Am I happy with the results we got most of the time? Yes. Am I happy with how it ended? Hellztotheneaux on that.

While I am ranting, I would have preferred our current players keep their social media yaps shut and just let the karma flow on it's own rather than stirring that pot. Looks low-class IMO and we don't need that right now -- or ever, for that matter.

We have no room to be bashing anybody else right now.

I think Gator fans (and some of us on FN) think that the "He took a year off for "health reasons" and to "spend more time with his family" was a BS excuse.

GR, this just might be the comment of the day, for this thread. :-)

I do not think a lot of people believed him when he stated his reasons for leaving. That is why.

GTH, very classy comment.

GR, recount for us, if you will, that last season of UFM at the Gator helm. Was he in fact having an extramarital dalliance that got him in trouble with his wife? Saw an allusion to that on Gameday where a MSU fan held up a sign gigging him on his supposed infidelity. Did that help precipitate his departure from Florida?

Never heard ANYTHING of that nature on UM during/after his tenure in Gville. BSB may know something, if there is anything to know, he is local there and well-connected.
