Rock bottom for the Knicks

07:24 AM ET 12.09 | The Knicks wore orange on Sunday, which made the dispiriting loss to Boston that much harder to miss. "I didn't see this coming," Mike Woodson said, and one more time the coach of the Knicks discovers there is no more dangerous a proposition with his team than taking a deep breath, believing the worst is past. ... The way it ended? Anything is in play, has to be in play, whether that's a reignited hot seat for the coach or a Rosetta Stone course to try to get the players to speak the same basketball language as he does. You'd like to think maybe this is rock bottom. Or maybe this was: the encroaching, growing apathy. Mostly the Knicks were greeted by large swaths of silence Sunday, the boos audible but not vicious, 19,812 people sending a message to 12 players and one coach: If you won't break a sweat, why should we?

Last year was a fluke, the Knicks are back where they belong.

It is obvious that the coach has lost his team. Knicks should get Hollins while he's available. I can foresee a few other coaching changes possible so better act fast.

Nah... I say we wait till he gets Chandler back for 15 games and if the bleeding continues then it'll be fair to fire him. For now let's be patient...

I blame those hideous orange jerseys......0-6 in them with an avg loss of something like 20. They gotta go, then all will be right!!

Youthful energy!

They win 2 straight games by 30+ points and then get killed by 40+ points in their HC. It sure doesn't make sense. They really lack leadership on the floor.

When they win, the ball movement is great. When they lose.........a lot of isolationism

Let's go CELTICS!

Can things get any worst for the Knicks? The Knicks are the worst team in the history of the NBA. After losing to celler dweller "Boston" the only way is up for the ineffective Knicks. Every team can count a win in the victory column before taking the court to play the Knicks. Mike Woodson is "out of there", Melo will sign with the Lakers, Shumpert will play in Toronto soon, the Knicks suck! New York sucks! I can field a little league team and destroy the Knicks after spotting them 20 points, ****!

They do seem to get off to a quicker start than most of their opponents.

Celtics are in first place in their division.
