07:31 AM ET 12.09 | According to a source, an event one week ago in Indianapolis put IU's AD, Tom Crean and some of Crean's players together with potential benefactors of the program. IU's pitch: Help us improve athletic facilities, including renovation of a campus icon, Assembly Hall. ... * Luxury seating above the bleachers behind the south basket. * A "modern jumbotron" that would "dramatically (improve) the fan experience for our balcony ticketholders." * The south lobby becoming "a grand new entryway." * Escalators replacing some ramps. *Remodeled restrooms and concession stands, and additional restrooms. The changes hardly remake the arena, but they do reflect an important shift in policy, considering that in 2007 IU's board of trustees said renovation of Assembly Hall was "not a feasible alternative."

It'd be easier to just build another arena. Assembly Hall is not the Taj Mahal.

Harley, where you getting all this SEC speed from. You beat me on every thread this am.

Btw, my Buckeye friend I will tell you over here on a bball thread where no one is around, where no one will read it, that quietly, in my inner chamber, where only my beloved resides (ya know my heart) I am glad we are not going to the NC. We were going to get pasted and I for one do not want to endure another NC pasting. We are simply not an NC team on the defensive side of the football and FL St would have beat us like a drum. I suppose miracles do happen and Urban would have done a great job to make a game of it but it could have been ugly my friend.

I said at the start of the year on these boards and I think you may have exchanged with me, that we are a year away because of the defense. We lost way too much talent (whole D line), thin at LB and though the DB's were supposed to be a source of depth and strength, as the season played out there were coaching and playing techniques back there that came into question. Anyhow, let's go pound Clemson and put the cupcake back into the Atlantic Cupcake Conference!

Go Bucks.

Just barge in wherever. Wonder what the meltdown that LUS provides will say about your bucknuts. It seems like some of the over zealous fan bases of teams that lose a big one go crazy the next week.

There are too many Bucknut Idiots for my liking. I know cuz some of my cousins are amongst em. I do my best to be levelheaded, but will admit I am a homer, but a levelheaded homer.

Some people are questioning Meyer!!! Now that is delusional for you. Guy goes 24-1 in his first 25 games and there are people questioning him. go figure

That is nuts. But some fans are just that way. According to my mother-in-law, the teams that have beaten her beloved Dallas Cowboys over the years have NEVER, and I mean NEVER, been the better team. According to her, every game the Cowboys have lost has always been because the referees cheated them.

My oldest brother the same about Ohio St. To the point that I don't ever talk sports with him (fortunately) I got 6 other brothers (and a sister) who are big fans but levelheaded.

+1, BB. I must say 1/2 of me wanted the Bucks in the NCG, defensive weaknesses be damned. The other (rational) 1/2 says FSU would've laid a barrage of 600+ passing yards on tOSU secondary. Just didn't know if the program could've recovered from a beatdown of that magnitude.

In retrospect, Sparty may have done the Bucks a favor, in that MSU finally exposed the secondary's deficiencies for all to see via a lost game. At least it'll be a point of emphasis for revamping the defensive coaching staff and/or revising the techniques taught and employed.

Thx for reply. There seems to be similar sentiments expressed by others here in C-bus. The nutz will never relent but the rational fans saw it too and wanted no part of FSU.

By the way Sandy Underpants has one of his better classic postings (rants) over on the ND thread. Check it out, I still got a smile on my face. That troll is a talented troll I tell ya.
