Hitch calls out Blues' top players

07:37 AM ET 12.09 | A sparkling start to the season hasn't taken the edge of Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock. The "buy-in" of the Blues became the coach's popular catchphrase in 2012-13, and in the wake of four consecutive lackadaisical starts, leading to three regulation losses, apparently it's back. "I think that has to be a collective buy-in," Hitchcock said. "We went through this last year." ... "We've had a lot of success, but now we've got to really dig in. Every game is a process. It's not the end of the world, it's a process. We had lots of success with the process. But we're going to have to get a better buy-in, and this really starts with your top players. Our top players have to buy this because otherwise we're just going to become a collection of individuals."

Did Hitch say 'every game is a prah-cess or pro-cess?'

Hitchcocks method is 100% from day one. No one player can get up for every game like that, and by the playoffs they usually have hit the outhouse wall.

They're doing no worse than Minnesota, Colorado or San Jose are at the moment, although I get the fact that they've lost to the three best non-Chicago teams in the league recently probably isn't ideal. Luckily, they got the Jets and Leafs up next.

If they lose to the Jets it will be Hitch who will be called out.

True but, dropping four in a row is reason for concern, not panic, but concern.

That is what is concerning me. Every time we play a top team lately, we are behind 3-0 in the first period, it seems.

Every team has small losing streaks, no concern yet. However, if they ever lose to a team like say the Bruins, cause for concern:)

The season is way too long, and almost everyone is way too greedy. And 'little Stevie' H has no talent at all - and just might be one of the three *********************** people that have ever breathed. Roll out, The Return of the Robocalls. "I knew nusssing..."
