07:31 AM ET 12.10 | While reporters stood in a hallway waiting for him, Angels GM Jerry Dipoto made quite the entry. [Dipoto] suddenly appeared, walking with Arizona Diamondbacks General Manager Kevin Towers. "I'll call you later," Towers said, walking away. The Diamondbacks are in search of a power hitter, with pitching to spare. The Angels appear to be a good match, with Mark Trumbo as a possible corner outfielder in Arizona. The Angels have two vacancies in the starting rotation, but they do not consider Tyler Skaggs enough of a return for Trumbo. ... Dipoto said Monday he could not yet say whether he saw a match with the Diamondbacks. "Still trying to figure it out," he said. Dipoto said he is happy to talk to other teams about any player on his roster. "Eveything is a conversation," he said.

The Diamondbacks are in search of a power hitter*cough* Pujols *cough*

I think they want him to hit HRs from 2014 on, not in 2001-10.

Angels suck, as usual.

December 10, 2013  10:53 AM ET

It was more than likely just internet bs.....but the chatter was the Pirates offered Cole and Taillon at the trade deadline last year and the Angels said no.

If the Angels can get two SPs for Trumbo, they better do it.

IF they can get it, but the D'backs aren't sure they if they want to get only one player,
the angels should get two starters plus a minor league prospect for trumbo, then again no team would give that much in return!!!

the D'backs may get their wish come through, give to the halos two SP's and a prospect and my believe the arizona team could land trumbo in no time!!!

December 10, 2013  11:39 AM ET

my guess is,,,,the rays have more pitching availability than any other teams except,,,the Rays refuse to give more than one player on any given trade!!!

December 10, 2013  11:42 AM ET

angels have Kendrick ready to be traded to whomever need a second basemen,Aybar its available as well!!!on angels last very last resort???Trumbo, then Trumbo and last Trumbo!!!

The Red Sox have a stable of young pitching prospects that a number of teams would like to get their hands on.

as it was stated,,the angels blew the horn with trumbo on board,,,except they still come up short with two top pitching prospects WHO will be playing in the minors!!!!

December 10, 2013  04:16 PM ET

does this mean the angels improved or decreased their chances in their needs in their thin rotation??

the Pujol's,and Hamilton's contract buried the halos in a deep hole where the team won't be able to move other than backwards!!!!

oh i see, teams can't trade within their own division rivals!!

QUOTE(#2):

the D'backs got their OF w/a power hitter in mind,Trumbo could help the team get alot of R.B.I.S,,,,
the angels will have to send this two pitchers to their minor league to straight them up,,
unless they wanted to blow their arms in the earlier days of the season!!

December 10, 2013  05:45 PM ET

now the angels could try to trade Kendrick for another starter, except with this player the team would
have to eat most of Kendrick's salary!!!

December 10, 2013  05:46 PM ET

on Kendrick contract 3 years its alot of money to pay off,,,18 plus millions though!!
