M-V-P chants for Aldridge ... on the road

07:29 AM ET 12.10 | Quite a night in Salt Lake City, where, as the Trail Blazers were finishing off a win over Utah, there was a ruckus behind their bench. A heavily-bearded fan, wearing Blazers gear, was being restrained by a security guard as he tried to get closer to Portland's bench. The chaotic scene included a few other Portland fans chanting, "Let's go Blazers," and "M-V-P," which was directed at power forward LaMarcus Aldridge. A day that started with Aldridge winning the Western Conference Player of the Week award for the second time this season, and fifth time in his career, ended with him receiving NBA's ultimate chant, on the road. It's a higher level of respect than the two-time All-Star has ever felt before. "It's a blessing, and it's definitely something I feel like I worked for," Aldridge said. "I've never heard MVP chants on the road. That was definitely new."

As of this moment, Aldridge IS the league MVP, closely followed by Paul Gorge, LBJ and KD.

Come To LA, Bro.

This guy has been good for many years in the league, most of those years were when the Blazers were losing. He should have made many more all-star appearances and should have been nominated for MVP considerations every year of the Blazers loses. Notice how he consistently make shots from any where on the court and against anyone. His low post game is deft, if you want to see a surgeon operate the basketball; watch Lamarcus. Smooth, sound, polished, complete, dependable, and a killer with the basketball. I love to watch him and Eric Bledsoe play!

If the Blazers keep in the top 3 of the league by the end of the season, he has a legit shot for some 1st place votes. I don't think they can keep it up but he is a great player no question.

No need to read he article. All I can say is sometimes the best trade you can make is the one you don't make. Keep in mind the season is 82 games long and much can happen on the way to the NBA Championship. lets not put the cart before the horse, let's just see how things play themselves out before we start passing out awards.
