07:41 AM ET 12.10 | With the Olympics less than two months away, the Canadian Olympic management team met this past weekend in California, prior to the NHL Board of Governors meetings, to analyze Team Canada's potential roster. P.K. Subban's status remains a hot topic among Canadian hockey fans while Subban's play is of more interest to Team Canada's executive director, Steve Yzerman. Yzerman and company are guarding the specifics of their discussions, however, it's believed Subban's stock is on the rise. ... Up front, as many as 23 forwards remain in the mix. Avalanche star Matt Duchene is still a prime candidate, however, with just one assist in the six games he's played since returning from injury, Duchene's stock is falling. Left wing is a particularly intriguing position.

I think he's there if they decide not to name Stamkos. But I think Stamkos is both getting named and going to Sochi, so...

Gotta take a shot on Stamkos being available...

The real issue is PK Subban.

What's the issue? Do you want him going to Sochi or not?

See? We don't have that kind of problem with Team USA. Since we have little to pick from, it's easy. ;-)

Have to. If it's one of the lower-rung forwards like Duchene, you move on. But Stamkos is one of the 5 best on the planet. An 80% Stamkos is still better than 98% of the rest of the participants.

but if he is not ready, aren't they risking the rest of his career?

Team Canada will rue the day they didn't pick Jamie Benn...

Duchene should thank his lucky stars, sit back and enjoy the break.

Are we already at the "Let's Go Blue Jays" point of the Leafs season?

What I think. Fly to some sandy beach, have a few drinks....

it shouldnt be, because his skating alone should be a reason to pick him over any of the other "bubble" guys.

this isn't sports medicine of the 70's and 80's. it's a broken leg.

Never to early to switch gears.

Still not sure about that leg. They claim he will be good enough to play, but I have my doubts. Pretty bad break, but I am not a doctor.
