07:41 AM ET 12.11 | Colby Rasmus does not appear to be part of The Plan. [Rasmus] is on the market and has been offered to two teams by the Blue Jays for starting pitching. And in the other news: The Blue Jays are one year into a five-year window after making deals a year ago with the Miami Marlins and the New York Mets to acquire the likes of R.A. Dickey, Jose Reyes, Mark Buehrle, Josh Thole, Mike Nickeas and the dearly departed (to other teams). Somehow, we remember from last December general manager Alex Anthopoulos saying the trades gave the Jays a chance to win the next three years. ... The Jays are finding out as they search for young starters under control that teams don't want to part with such young talent. Even when Rasmus is dangled to other teams.

Now you see what the Cardinals saw a couple of years ago. The kid's not going to get any better. He is what he is.

Exactly -doesn't listen, pays attention to his dad not the coaches et.al....... that's why they got rid of him.

The kid doesn't listen to coaches - he listens to his dad. And that means - not a team player IMHO. The Cards saw that wouldn't change - so they got rid of him.

This. Didn't take him long to wear out his welcome in Toronto, either.

Another example of GM Mo talent trading Colby to the Jays and bringing in pieces that fit the puzzle to help the Cardinals win the 11 WS.

We like him. A lot. And if he goes, Gose plays CF and while he'll save runs (better fielder), he isn't going to do anything worthwhile at the plate.

Glad to hear it. I don't have anything against him, but I was glad to see him go. Never liked his attitude.
