04:54 PM ET 12.11 | The drama surrounding the Washington Redskins continues to build. Shortly after news that head coach Mike Shanahan has decided to start Kirk Cousins in Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons, news surfaced that Robert Griffin III will not even suit up for the game. Griffin will be ruled inactive for the Week 15 matchup, while Rex Grossman will back up Cousins. It is certainly an interesting situation and one that only adds to the intrigue in Washington, as we all wonder what in the world Mike Shanahan is doing. Shanahan says that he wants to protect Griffin from injury, but it looks like the real plan is to force himself out of town. Luckily for Shanahan, he is probably going to get his wish, we will just have to see how soon that comes.

Three #1's traded for you and you're on the bench.

If that isn't humility, nothing is.

Skol!!

It was only 2 #1s. The 3rd was a move up exchange.

Hail!

And true, but it's still a number one even when swapping.

I sure hope they know what they're doing. I did love watching RGIII play before he got hurt.

I did hear they're hoping Cousins looks good enough to get trade value. Personally I think DC would be nuts to trade him, but you never know what the new regime will do.

Shanny looking to get fired with this move?

I wouldn't trade a viable #2 when RGIII is fragile.

But who knows, it's a mess in DC

If Snyder's gonna fire stroke-boy, I hope he waits until June 1. That way there will be no openings for this turkey to take. Given a choice between having the Tuck rule or Shanahan in the NFL, I'll take the Tuck rule.

If the Skins were going to trade Cousins, I'd want Phil Emery to consider that deal... and yeah, that means letting Cutler go on his way.

I think it would be base on draft picks more than anything else, and the Bears are going to need those to build up that defense; that's one reason of many why something like this wouldn't happen.

If it were you, would you keep McCown? He's liable to be a very valuable trading commodity.

I would absolutely keep McCown. If he's got a good O-line protecting him, I'd say he's got two seasons left in him.

Nice win Monday I enjoyed every minute of it.

So did I. I will confess that the game did not go as I expected it to. I thought the Cowboys will run the ball down Chicago's throat and win that way. And yet, the Cowboys did run for 200 yards... but McCown just managed to have the game of his career so far.

I thought the Boys would play better at home too.

Guess not.. Iggles take that division.

The big strike on McCown is that he's 34. That's AARP as far as the NFL is concerned.

It took him this long to get a QB-oriented coach. Damn. McCown should sue Dennis Green for fraud.

After they run and throw to about 42 points against my Vikes this week, yeah they will.

The other thing is: How many times have we seen this? 2nd or 3rd stringer comes in and sets the world on fire for 1,2,3,4 games...Then they're next opportunity they promptly tank.

See Matt Flynn, RGIII, Caleb Hanie, etc.

*rookie or 2nd/3rd stringer

This could displace the Raiders' Carson Palmer deal as the worst ever.

I would have figured Albert Haynesworth's deal with the Skins was worse, but I know you're a Raiders fan...
