07:23 AM ET 12.12 | Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey missed practice on Wednesday, but not because of injury. While his Dolphins teammates practiced Wednesday, Pouncey was in Boston, per a league source -- presumably to be questioned about what he knows about the alleged illegal acts committed by former college teammate Aaron Hernandez. ... Hernandez, the former Patriots tight end and University of Florida star, has been charged with the murder of associate Odin Lloyd in Massachusetts. However, reports in October were that prosecutors are broadening the scope of their investigation to include Hernandez's potential involvement in interstate gun trafficking. The subpoena was delivered while Pouncey was leaving Gillette Stadium's visiting locker room on Oct. 27. Pouncey is expected to play for the Dolphins on Sunday.

"Interstate gun trafficking" now ?

Is it me, or does it seem like they're reaching for charges on this guy, as if the murder charge(s) won't stick.

Hell Hernandez may be back with the Patriots next year.

Once they connect all the dots he won't be seeing freedom for a very long time, if at all.

You can pick your friends...

You can pick your nose...

I wonder if Hernandez has made any "friends" in his new home.

My guess he knew some of the residents from the ol'days.

Urban should visit, it could be a Florida reunion of the group he put together there.

Something tells me he's had friends in there to protect him leading up to this mess. I bet he either walks scott free or gets a minimum sentence due to lack of evidence and is forced into a civil suit.

It IS a state court that issued Pouncy's subpoena, not a Federal one, but the Feds are definitely involved. Interstate gun trafficking is a Federal deal. The mountain of circumstantial evidence on the murder charge, combined with the likelihood that Hernandez's girlfriend will roll (they have her dead to rights as an accomplice), will put him away without much trouble. I doubt they're just piling on to make sure. The kid decided rap-defined gangsta lifestyle was for him. Gun trafficking is no biggy to a guy who shoots and kills people. I'd be surprised if they didn't make it stick.

Pouncey is no snitch. Here's the phrase he needs to own: "I don't recall"

Well, not if you want him to remain your friend, anyway.

We've seen money beat high profile murder charges a time or two in America... Just seems weird that they're still searching for charges, but I agree with you mostly.

My guess is it isn't that they're looking for charges so much as the fact that new information is constantly coming to light. Can't wait 'til it is revealed that the gangl eader was Meyer. Okay, maybe not, but I can dream.

Also, any money he had left is likely to fly out the window in Florida. He responded to the civil suit filed by that guy he shot in the face and invoked his 5th amendment rights 13 times. Anyone still convinced Hernandez is the victim of a BS lawsuit there? The dude won't even say "I didn't do it".

Full circle would be to see Aaron Hernandez wearing a "Free Pouncy" cap....
