07:26 AM ET 12.12 | Defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin sounds like a man open to suggestions these days, particularly from boss Jerry Jones. Jones said the Cowboys need to "take more risks" blitzing to force more turnovers. "We want to blitz, and we did blitz on third down," Kiffin said. "Good golly, you've got to change it up. You've got to come after them. You can't let that quarterback stand back there all day." ... Kiffin fought off a blitz of his own Wednesday. The 73-year-old was asked if he's the right man to get the Cowboys' defensive woes solved. "I don't know. I'm here right now," Kiffin said. "I've got to be the right guy right now. I can't get into all that." Kiffin was then asked whether he's considered stepping aside and letting defensive line coach Rod Marinelli take over for him. "Not really. I don't think so."

hmmm..that would be a HELL NO!!! He can't coach and he has no players to do anything with anyway!

The common variable in all the Cowboy's faults is Jerry Jones.

The head of another unsuccessful Father son duo buddy system.

Obviously, Kiffin doesn't have the answers.

JJ's logic: I'm old. Dick LeBeau is old and he still does a pretty good job at Pittsburgh. I'll hire an old DC! No more of these young guys!

Doesn't matter who the coach is if you don't have players and they have very little on the defensive side of the ball. They just plain flat out Suck!!

The defensive wizardry of Landry couldn't fix this hodgepodge of players.

Isn't that a basic job reqirement for working at the Cowboys? (I've worked for a few bosses like that -- "suggestion" is a major misnomer!)

The finest defensive minds to ever coach couldn't. It's a ragtag group for sure!

There's been bad players and bad coaches in the league forever, but Kiffen has to be the worst.

Kiffin built some of the best defenses in the game with the Bucs. He's had plenty of success. But you have to have the right personnel and he doesn't have it.

Sometimes it is the system

Sometimes it is the players

Sometimes it is both.

If you don't have the answers with his age and experience in coaching defenses then it becomes a personnel problem. But we already knew that.

Dallas has two players worth their salt on D: Lee and Ware. Everybody else is a collection of suck. Buddy Ryan would've had trouble getting these guys to perform.
