07:46 AM ET 12.13 | After nearly 100 days on the job in Calgary, Brian Burke shook everything up, returning to the spotlight in the process. Burke likes to be front and centre. He likes to be seen and heard. He confirmed he will be the acting GM and that his search for Feaster's successor already has started. He also stated that he's prepared to be the GM full-time if a suitable replacement is not found. The search will start with Joe Nieuwendyk, who worked under Burke with the Toronto Maple Leafs before going out on his own to run the Dallas Stars for four playoff-less seasons, which resulted in his firing. The 47-year-old Nieuwendyk won the first of his three Stanley Cups as a player with the Flames back in 1989. Burke said one of his reasons for making the change now was because the Buffalo Sabres are amid their own GM search.

Hopefully.

Tough loss last night, Otis. Those two goals at the end of the period on the PP took the wind out of your Stars sails.

It will be great having Lord Irk to pick on once more. I might even let up on B****n Bruin fans.

Naaaah!

Two bad penalties... Can't have that.

The Flames will be better served looking to someone else. I loved Nieuwey as a player, as a GM, he annoyed the crap out of me. The moves he made just made me scratch my head.

Two gift ideas for Burke this Christmas, better players and a Great Clips gift card.

What do you mean by "Sorry Calgary!"?

Burke won't bring in someone that talks more than him.

Anyway, my money's on Dave Poulin.

We heard he was in Windsor stuffing your money down womens pantys. Oh wait they don't wear any there:)

I think Calgary should have a fan raffle at their next home game to determine the next Flames "GM".

He'll probably wait until next season and pick up on passive Alain, who by years end should be sick of the NY media:)
