08:02 AM ET 12.14 | As New York Knicks executives work to convince owner Jim Dolan he should ignore public criticism and complete a deal for Kyle Lowry, the Brooklyn Nets are gaining traction as a possible destination for the Toronto Raptors point guard, league sources told Yahoo Sports. The Knicks are desperate for a point guard, and their front office had a deal together that would've sent Raymond Felton, Metta World Peace and a 2018 first-round pick for Lowry. The Knicks' front office is determined to re-enter talks on Lowry, league sources said, but it is unclear how they will try to amend a trade package ??? or whether they're willing to return the original offer to the table. Without the future first-round pick, there's little chance of the Knicks landing Lowry, sources said.

Would make a nice addition, Brooklyn has a lot of Zgas and Drug Money!

this is why the knicks are in the situation there in. handing out first round picks like candy isn't going to get you no where. Lowry isn't that much better than Felton

I still dont see how he fixes the knicks problems.....The guy isnt "the piece" that puts them over the top.....

Now if Lowery went to a team like the Pacers yeah he would be the perfect addition coming off the bench.....

Hell i could still see him fitting in in Brooklyn. Isnt about time for Williams to hurt his ankle again?

I knew it was only a matter of type the Nets would be interested.

Howard Beck: Per plugged-in source: Nets have indicated "zero intention" to give up Bogdanovic or 1st-rd pick in any deal for Lowry. That being the case, it's hard to see Nets getting Lowry. Raptors insisting on young player and 1st-rd pick. I'm not surprised at Nets' reluctance. They love Bogdanovic. And they've already given up a boatload of 1st-rd picks.

What good is Bogdanovic if he isn't playing for them NOW?? This team is built to win now, so they need to get Lawry who can somewhat help with offense. Projects aren't important to them right now!

NY will get fleeced again. There in dire need of a PG especially after proclaiming championship or bust. Knicks are trying to be like the Cowboys. Cowboys are always predicting championship but yet they don't come close to sniffing the playoffs!

Noooooooo! At least the Cowboys are #1 in making money just like the Lakers....

Why do the Nets need Lowry? They have Livingston as a back up PG who is better than Lowry as is. or is it just to keep him away from the Knicks?

post #10 minus the part about the knicks

You don't think the Nets are showing interest just to raise the offer from the Knicks?

Why?

the Nets are gaining ground but the interns won't tell us why or how. How can the Nets have anything worth offering?

Agree. Knicks need to keep those picks and just tough it out. Felton had many good games last season.

Will you need a few more basketballs to suffice these Knicks????

I would trade Dolan for toxic waste. Anything to get him gone from NY.
