08:36 AM ET 12.14 | The basic assumption with Teddy Bridgewater is that he'll finish up this season, leave Louisville, enter the 2014 NFL Draft, get taken by someone at the top of the draft and become a franchise quarterback. Not so fast, my friends. John Middlekauf, a former scout for the Eagles, reported on Twitter that he's hearing Bridgewater "has contemplated returning" to Louisville for his senior season.

Here's what I don't get about all these alleged 1st round QBs ...

NFL QB requirements:
1. Arm strength, especially for throws like the deep out
2. Accuracy, without loss of velocity
2. Quick decisions
3. Get the ball out quickly

Can Teddy do this?
Can Mett do this?
Stephen Morris?
Murray?
JFF?

Anyone who can't do this is a developmental project in the NFL.

IMO JFF needs more development. The NFL isn't yard ball. Running around evading defenders with your superior quickness then throwing it up for chance won't work for long in the NFL.

NFL drafts on potential...

There are no Manning and Lucks in this draft... Heck none of them are even close to Cam

AJ McCarron can do those things.

If he is a first round pick, he would be crazy to return to Louisville
