NHL to rule on Shawn Thornton Saturday

08:44 AM ET 12.14 | Boston Bruins forward Shawn Thornton had an in-person hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Friday for an incident with Pittsburgh Penguins defenceman Brooks Orpik last Saturday at TD Garden. The Department of Player Safety tweeted on Friday that the league will announce its decision on Saturday.

So Thornton has missed this weeks games and somehow, I don't think he'll just get "time served."

I noticed that too, but I didn't want to poke the Bear again after the last couple days. But since you bring it up. At least he didn't sneak up on Cooke from behind and drop him when he wasn't looking.
